E-Notes-0.4 HELP
Well, I hope this help will... help.
From version 0.4 we re-entered Enlightenment's world. Yes E-Notes is back to it's original WM E. But of course this app can still be a dockapp. So everybody is happy then. I am regurlarly switching from WindowMaker to E and vice-versa, that should explain the little story... ;)
There are only 2 important files:
- The application executable called E-Notes
- The resource file: .ENotesrc in your home directory
This makes the install procedure much easier ;)
The icon application
dockapp:
or epplet:
The Notes manager is an icon with 5 buttons:
- close: to close the application (your notes are saved before exiting)
- help: to display this help file
- config: to configure the default note: the one that is generated when you create a new note
- create note: a new note will appear with the default parameters set in config
- save: to save your notes and also the default note, but it is automatically done when you click on close button
After a note as been created, you can configure it by clicking left on it. A config window then appears.
To DELETE a note, just click right on it (I know, it's pretty risky but...)
The config window
This window appears each time you click left on a note or when you click on the little hammer button on the icon app (the default note config button). It contains the following fields (and more to come...)
Fancy stuff:
- border: border for the note?
- sticky: want the note to stick to all desktops?
- ontop: want the note on top of all windows?
- alarm: setup the time, day and frequency of the alarm (on time, the note will position itself on 0x0 and will beeeeeep)
- angle: NOT USED YET !!!
Background stuff:
- transparency: transparent background
- desktop: pseudo transparency: background of root window
- shade: shade on the background (not on the text)
- bg files: specifies an image file: displays the file selector
- color: a color for the background: displays the color selector or you can specify it directly in the color field in form: 255/255/255
Text stuff:
- color: a color for the text: displays the color selector or you can specify it directly in the color field in form: 255/255/255
- font: font to use: displays the font selector
- x pad: x padding
- y pad: y padding
- text: text of the note
Well, that's about it for now, you should be all set.
